Last week, techUK took a delegation of growth UK tech and digital companies to Brussels to discuss the General Data Protection Regulation and what the UK tech sector needs from a Digital Single Market. The delegation met with European Parliamentarians, influential Commission officials and wider stakeholders.
The Commission has rightly put the Digital Single Market at the centre of its plans to drive jobs and prosperity across Europe. To coincide with this delegation, techUK has published 'Creating a Digital Single Market for Jobs and Inclusive Growth' with eight principles to help guide the development of the Digital Single Market. techUK shares the belief that by creating an addressable market of hundreds of millions of consumers and a regulatory environment that supports business growth, we can unleash the true potential of Europe's technology sector.
