Pandai Education Crowned World Champion of the Inaugural WITSA World Cup: Zohari Challenge Trophy

Yerevan, Armenia, October 8, 2024 — The World Innovation, Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA) is proud to announce that Pandai Education from Malaysia has emerged as the global champion of the inaugural WITSA World Cup, winning the coveted Zohari Challenge Trophy at the 28th World Congress on Innovation and Technology (WCIT) 2024. This prestigious global tournament, held in Yerevan, Armenia, featured 16 of the world’s most promising technology scaleups, with Pandai Education recognized for their cutting-edge innovation in the field of education technology.

Pandai Education’s platform, which enhances learning through personalized educational tools and assessments, captured the attention of judges for its scalability and impact on both educators and students. The global tournament was made possible through the support of several key partners, including Sarawak Digital Economy Corporation (SDEC), the Principal Partner and sponsor of the WITSA World Cup Zohari Challenge Trophy. 

The Zohari Challenge Trophy, named in honor of The Right Honorable Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri (Dr) Abang Haji Abdul Rahman Zohari Bin Tun Datuk Abang Haji Openg, Premier of Sarawak, stands as a testament to Sarawak’s growing digital economy and its pivotal role in driving global innovation.

In addition to the WITSA World Cup Zohari Challenge Trophy, as World Champion, Pandai Education will benefit from a suite of prizes from strategic partners, including REDDS Capital, Knowledge Impact Network, OBR Global, Palladium, Five i, Million Peacemakers, Smart Gate VC, WOWS Global, IEEE Entrepreneurship, SmartGateVC, RNT TV, the WITSA Speakers Bureau, and access to the Microsoft Startup Founders Hub, a platform that will further accelerate the growth of this dynamic company.

As the first recipient of the WITSA World Cup Zohari Challenge Trophy, Pandai Education has not only set a high standard for future competitors but has also solidified its place as a leader in the global tech ecosystem.

The 28th WCIT 2024 which was held together with DigiTec in Yerevan, Armenia which started on October 4, had an astounding attendance of more than 25,000 people from more than 50 countries, making it the biggest innovation and tech congress, post pandemic.
